3. Drop a drop of cedar oil on the specimen, and rotate the oil lens to the fixed bayonet for observation;
4. Slowly rotate the coarse adjustment handwheel to raise the mobile stage. When it is appropriately close to the specimen, on the one hand, observe the field of view with your eyes, and on the other hand, use the coarse adjustment handwheel to slowly focus down or up until a blurred bacterial image appears in the field of view, then use the fine adjustment handwheel until the bacterial shape is adjusted to a clear state, and then stop fine adjustment;
5. After the observation, cut off the power and lift the objective lens. First wipe the cedar oil on the lens with lens paper, then wipe it with lens paper dipped in xylene, and finally wipe it with clean lens paper;
6. Rotate the coarse adjustment handwheel to lower the mobile stage to the lowest fixed position, and rotate the lens to the fixed bayonet position;
7. After use, cover it with a plastic cover and gently put it back in the box.
